Ages 10+, 2-6 players
Double-double is a game that takes the four intertwining doubling sets into account. The sets are:
- 1, 2, 4
- 3, 6, 12
- 5, 10, 20
- 15, 30, 60
Deal seven cards per player. Select a player to go first. Play goes clockwise. First player draws a card. The goal is to create sets as noted above. If a set can be made, player places it in front of him and discards. If a set cannot be made, player must discard one card to end a turn. Cards should be discarded face up and in such a way that each cards value can be seen. Players have the option to take a card from the discard pile. If a player should like to take a card from further down they may do so on two conditions. First, the card must immediately be used to create and place a set. Second, the player must take all the cards which are on top of that card and hold them in his hand.
The hand ends when one player is out of cards or the deck is exhausted.
Scoring is kept as such: set values are equal to the highest number in the set; 4, 12, 20, or 60. If any set is made of all the same suit, the value doubles. First player to reach 1200 wins.
